Required Passes

If your organization requires a user to purchase a prerequisite pass, like a pet license, before purchasing another pass, like a dog park permit, you may define Required Passes inside your pass settings.

Select one or more passes, and optionally limit the requirement to Residents only — which is useful if you still want to sell the pass (e.g. dog permit) to non-residents. Learn more about managing residency.

When a user attempts to apply for a pass, and one or more of their pets does not have the required pass, a message will be displayed instructing them to purchase the required pass. Checkout will be disabled until the pass requirements are met.

A required pass is considered valid as soon as it graduates from "Draft" to "Pending." This ensures a user can apply for both permits in the same session without waiting for the review cycle for the first pass.
